And we're through!!

Come on England!! Knowing nothing Whatsoever about football (and I can finally say I didn't have to retype that from sakkaa!) I will spare you my amateur commentary but I'm sure the lucky mars bar I had for lunch helped England's chances.

On the way home tonight, there were three fairly merry girls with England flags painted on their cheeks, waving at all cars with flags and getting them to honk - at which there was much wooping and screaming. Cute. How sad that this is only a month every four years - nothing brings a country together like football. lol.

Unbelievable things

OK, firstly, can anyone believe it's June already? Crazy stuff!! Where did this year go??

The weather here has also been pretty unbelievable - bright sunshine and HOT for a full week now... how long can it go on for?!

England has gone, well, England crazy - I will try and get some photos of the flag madness because they have sprouted from just about every car, tree, house... it's quite hilarious really; if we lose the world cup it certainly won't be for lack of patriotism. As far as work is concerned, Boss has conceeded that he won't even try and stop us watching any England or Japan games on the office telly, provided it's not too rowdy (whatever!!) and I'm guessing H will want to watch the German games too so hopefully there'll be something to keep us busy most days!! Work has been really busy recently for various reasons, one of which will be over on Friday after which will follow what promises to be one of the messiest office parties in office history!

Went back to Horsham last night to have a belated birthday dinner with the 'rents, and today was Joy's son Toby's Dedication service. I think virtually the whole gang was there and it was good to see them all and to bump into some other folk for the first time since I left for uni seven years ago... There was a BBQ afterwards and various people attacked various others with different coloured foodstuffs - so business as usual there then!

Last of my unbelievable things for today was a birthday present from Tina which is a magic bean with my name on it, which apparently grows a magic plant, also with my name on... I will try planting it today and update with any developments. How bizarre?!

I will leave you with a couple of pictures from today - I took a total of four so hopefully I will post some more if Helen sends me some! (pretty please Helen!)

Helen steals the little man... hehehe
